IRC5 Robot Introduction
The ABB IRC5 controller is a powerful industrial robot controller used to power ABB's latest generation of robots. The IRC5 controller is available in the ABB IRC5 Single cabinet, ABB IRC5 Dual cabinet, and IRC5 Compact cabinet styles. The IRC5 controller is also referred to the ABB M2004 controller. The controller was produced anywhere from 2004 to present. Larger robots such as the ABB IRB 6640 use either the Single cabinet or Dual cabinet. Smaller robots like the ABB IRB 1600 can use either of the three ABB cabinet types depending on the space available. The ABB IRC5 cabinet has improved motion and application performance over the previous ABB controllers. The IRC5 controller can also be used to control older robots paired with past generation controllers. Used ABB IRC5 robots are a great way to integrate advanced technology into your application at a greatly reduced cost.
