3500 System Introduction

The 3500 System provides continuous, online monitoring suitable for machinery protection applications, and is designed to meet the requirements of the American Petroleum Institute’s API 670 standard for such systems. The system’s modular rack-based design includes the following components:

2.One or two 3500/15 Power Supplies (required)

3.3500/22M Transient Data Interface (TDI) Module (required)

4.One or more 3500/XX Monitor Modules (required)

5.One or more 3500/32M (4-channel) or 3500/33 (16-channel)

Relay Modules (optional)：

1.One or two 3500/25 Keyphasor* Modules (optional)

2. One or more 3500/92 Communication Gateway Modules(optional)

3. Input/Output (I/O) Modules (required)

4. 3500/94M VGA Display (optional)

5. Internal or external intrinsic safety barriers, or galvanic isolatorsfor hazardous area installations (optional)

6. 3500 System Configuration Software (required)

3500/92

The 3500/92 Communication Gateway module provides extensive communication capabilities of all rack monitored values and statuses for integration with process control and other automation systems using both Ethernet TCP/IP and serial (RS232/RS422/RS485) communications capabilities.  It also permits Ethernet communications with 3500 Rack Configuration Software and Data Acquisition Software.

Supported protocols include:

1. Modicon Modbus protocol (via serial communications)

2. Modbus/TCP protocol (a variant of serial Modbus used for TCP/IP Ethernet communications)

3. Proprietary Bently Nevada protocol (for communication with 3500 Rack Configuration and Data Acquisition Software packages)
