1785-LT3 Functional Description
The Allen-Bradley 1785-LT3 module is a versatile and powerful device featuring 512 I/O points. It comes with both a DH+ Channel and a Remote I/O Channel (Adapter Only), providing robust communication capabilities. The DH+ connection enables remote programming and facilitates data transfer between PLCs and higher-level computers, making it ideal for programming processors and connecting up to 64 stations on the DH+ link.
Designed to operate within a temperature range of 0-60°C (32-140°F), the Allen-Bradley 1785-LT3 module ensures reliable performance under normal conditions. However, exposure to temperatures outside this range (-40-85°C or -40-185°F for non-operating conditions) can damage the module. It has a memory capacity of 6K words and a backplane current requirement of 2.5A at 5V DC, making it suitable for various industrial applications.
Additionally, the Allen-Bradley 1785-LT3 module includes a Control Coprocessor Expansion Port, providing enhanced control capabilities. It also supports remote I/O transmission at 57.6 kbps. The module comes with a sequential function chart (SFC) and specialized programming features, enabling users to develop, enter, and test their programs efficiently. Once testing is complete, the program can be applied directly to the system.
Given its advanced functional specifications, the Allen-Bradley 1785-LT3 module is not only a powerful control tool but can also be used for document sign-off in complex industrial processes, ensuring comprehensive program validation and system integration.

Classic PLC-5 Family Processor Features
From the family of PLC-5 processors, you can choose the processor(s) that you need for your application. Features common to all Classic PLC-5
processors are:
The PLC-5 processor in adapter mode acts as a remote station to the supervisory processor. The adapter-mode PLC-5 processor can monitor and control its processor-resident local I/O while communicating with the supervisory processor via a remote I/O link.
