S400 Remote I/O for Advant Master DCS
Migration and support for ABB S400 remote I/O for Advant Master DCS, and the Advant Controller 410 and Advant Controller 450.
S400 Remote I/O Units makes it possible to distribute the system’s inputs and outputs to distances of up to 750 m from the Process Station. The Process Station and the various I/O units communicate via the ABB MasterFieldbus serial bus
The laying of cable represents a major part of the costs involved in such a system. For this reason it is obviously advantageous to be able to transmit a large number of signals serially between the Process Station and one I/O unit and to have separate signal wires only between the I/O unit and the process. The more spread out the process, the greater the advantages offered by Distributed I/O.
ABB maximizes your system investment and provides an evolution path forward for your ABB DCS. This is achieved by designing control systems for continuous evolution and by providing service offerings that extend the life cycle and improve the availability and performance of systems in the ABB portfolio and beyond.
