IC698ETM001 Functional Description

The IC698ETM001 is an Ethernet interface module manufactured by Emerson Automation, previously GE Fanuc Automation. It is designed for use with the PACSystem RX7i Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) platform, enabling seamless connectivity to Ethernet networks for data exchange, remote I/O, communication with visualization systems, and third-party software like databases and enterprise applications.

This module features two Ethernet ports, each capable of 10/100 Mbps communication speeds with auto-sensing, and utilizes RJ45 connectors with a minimum of CAT5 cable for physical connections. The ports support daisy chaining, which allows flexible network topologies such as linear, star, and ring configurations. It also supports both unique and redundant IP addressing.
