IC693MDL740 Functional Description
The IC693MDL740 is a versatile module in the GE Fanuc Series 90-30 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) lineup. This module serves as a Positive Logic Output, designed to source current to connected loads from the module’s positive power bus. It features 16 output points, divided into two groups of 8 channels each, with each channel capable of handling a load of up to 0.5 Amps.
Equipped with front-panel LED indicators, the IC693MDL740 versatile module provides a clear visual representation of the status of each output channel as well as the overall operational state of the module. The module is compatible with various loads, such as relays, contactors, pilot lamps, buzzers, and 24VDC devices. Importantly, it does not include internal fusing, so external fuses are recommended for additional protection.
The IC693MDL740 versatile module is rated for 12-24V DC operation, with a voltage range of +20% to -15%. It exhibits a maximum inrush current of 4.78 Amps for 10 milliseconds, and its output voltage drop does not exceed 1 VDC. The module ensures rapid response times, with a maximum ON and OFF response time of 2 milliseconds each.
