IC693BEM321 Functional Description
The GE Fanuc IC693BEM321 I/O Link Master Module Card is a serial interface card designed to connect up to 16 slave modules to the GE Fanuc Series 90-30 PLC systems, acting as a bridge between these modules and the system’s CPU. With the capability to receive up to 1K (1024) digital inputs, the IC693BEM321 Interface Module (Master) card can produce 1K digital outputs, transmitting command responses to field actuators. Configuration is done using either a handheld GE Fanuc programmer or proprietary software.
This module is compatible with the GE Fanuc PLC systems from the Series 90-30 and 90-70 product lines, allowing for insertion in any available slot. Up to six IC693BEM321 90-30 GE Series I/O Link Master Module can be inserted into the baseplate of a GE Fanuc PLC simultaneously, each one managing an independent I/O link for different sectors or parts of the system. The module operates with a 5 Volts DC power supply sourced directly from the baseplate, while field devices in the link require separate power.
Supporting RS-422 and RS-485 serial communication protocols, the General Electric IC693BEM321 On Sale Large Stock Plc Controller uses a 20-pin Honda socket located on the module's front. Additionally, three status LEDs indicate the module’s operational state. The module also features a reset button that can power the link on and off and is used to clear any system faults, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of the connected network.

VersaMax Micro, Micro PLUS and Nano PLC Models
Introduction
Versions of these compact, powerful controllers are available for AC and DC power, and with several different combinations of discrete and analog input and output points. This chapter compares the features of the many VersaMax Nano, Micro and Micro PLUS PLC models that are available. Micro PLUS 20/40/64 CPUs have enhanced memory compared to earlier versions of these CPUs. Firmware versions 4.00 and later cannot be used with the earlier hardware versions.
The VersaMax® PLC family of products includes a broad range of small-size programmable logic controllers (PLCs) with big-PLC features. The VersaMax family includes Nano PLCs (10 points), Micro PLCs (up to 176 I/O points), and Micro PLUS PLCs (up to 320 I/O points) using optional Expansion Units. These small PLCs are the perfect solution for applications such as packaging machines, dispensing machines, and relay replacement.
Changes to the program that do not modify the size of the program are considered wordfor-word changes. Examples include changing the type of contact or coil or changing a reference address used for an existing function block. Changing an operand is usually a word-for-word change. A word-for-word change can be made and downloaded to the PLC while online in programmer mode without having to download the entire block of logic.
