IC694MDL240 Functional Description

The IC694MDL240 is a discrete input module from the PACSystem RX3i series, a highly modular Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) platform. This module is designed to work with 120 VAC-rated systems, supporting an input voltage range of 85-132 VAC and an input frequency of 50/60 Hz. It provides 16 input points, each equipped with a corresponding LED indicator for easy status monitoring. These LEDs illuminate when a channel receives current, offering real-time feedback on the module's operation.

The IC694MDL240 discrete input module is classified as a high-voltage module, marked by its red band, and is installed in a single slot of the PACSystem RX3i backplane, drawing 90 mA of current from the backplane. It has a fast response time, with 30 ms for the On-state and 45 ms for the Off-state. The input voltages for the On-state and Off-state are 74-132 VAC and 0-20 VAC, respectively. The IC694MDL240 discrete input module optical isolation rating is 250 VAC for continuous voltage and 1500 VAC for 1-minute pulses, ensuring robust protection in industrial environments.

In addition to I/O that you can put on the main rack, you can expand locally or remotely to connect to additional racks of I/O. In fact, PACSystems RX3i can support as few as 8 I/O points and up to 32 thousand I/O points in a single system. With 7 to 16 slot backplanes and 1 slot expansion options, you can create the perfect system to fit your needs.

Beyond just the high performance PACSystems RX3i offers in simplex configurations, high availability configurations are also possible for maximum reliability.
