IC200BEM003 Functional Description
The IC200BEM003 High-density VersaMax IO is versatile Modular, developed by GE Fanuc, is a high-performance Versamax master module designed for seamless data communication on a V1 PROFINET network. Supporting variable data rates, it efficiently processes 3584 bytes of input data and 3584 bytes of output data. With Sync and Freeze modes, the IC200BEM003 PROFIBUS Master Module ensures reliable data exchange. It operates at data rates ranging from 9.6 kBaud to 12 MBaud and employs a linear bus topology with terminations at both ends. Shielded twisted-pair cables facilitate secure transmissions, while the 9-Pin D-sub connector ensures stable network connections. Compact in size, the module measures 4.3 inches (width) × 2.63 inches (height) × 1.956 inches (depth), making it ideal for space-constrained installations.
Designed as an intelligent network module, the General Electric IC200BEM003 Genius Bus Communication Module offers a slave status array table and diagnostics address for enhanced monitoring. It consumes 450 mA from the 5V output and is easily configured via a host controller with a Windows-based software utility. LED indicators on the front panel provide real-time communication status. Supporting up to 125 slave devices, it features a network-to-frame ground isolation of 250V AC and a PROFIBUS network-to-backplane isolation of 1500V AC for 1 minute. Certified by UL standards for hazardous area installations, the GE Fanuc IC200BEM003 Versamax Master Module ensures safety and performance in industrial environments.

VersaMax Micro, Micro PLUS and Nano PLC Models
Introduction
Versions of these compact, powerful controllers are available for AC and DC power, and with several different combinations of discrete and analog input and output points. This chapter compares the features of the many VersaMax Nano, Micro and Micro PLUS PLC models that are available. Micro PLUS 20/40/64 CPUs have enhanced memory compared to earlier versions of these CPUs. Firmware versions 4.00 and later cannot be used with the earlier hardware versions.
The VersaMax® PLC family of products includes a broad range of small-size programmable logic controllers (PLCs) with big-PLC features. The VersaMax family includes Nano PLCs (10 points), Micro PLCs (up to 176 I/O points), and Micro PLUS PLCs (up to 320 I/O points) using optional Expansion Units. These small PLCs are the perfect solution for applications such as packaging machines, dispensing machines, and relay replacement.
Changes to the program that do not modify the size of the program are considered wordfor-word changes. Examples include changing the type of contact or coil or changing a reference address used for an existing function block. Changing an operand is usually a word-for-word change. A word-for-word change can be made and downloaded to the PLC while online in programmer mode without having to download the entire block of logic.
